TEST TW WEATHER

Think Spring

While there is still more snow on the ground than we have seen in a long time, the weather looks like it is going to turn and spring will be coming.  With this comes the things that are unburied from the snow.  These things in our yards that require us to do a little clean up and make a trip to the Barron County Waste to Energy Facility.  The City of Cumberland will not have a spring clean-up day again this year.  The past cost of this, has made this a large cost to the tax payers that the city cannot afford.  We are asking that you all make plans to haul your unsightly and un-wanted items to the Barron Waste to Energy Facility located at 585 10 ½ Avenue, Almena.  Please contact them at (715) 637-6890 or wastetoenergy@co.barron.wi.us to make arrangements for this.  Also beware of unlicensed or junk vehicles in your yards.  Owners of these items may be receiving a visit a friendly Cumberland Police Officer as a reminder to get this taken care of per the city ordinance.
