NOTICE

 

There will be a regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Cumberland on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, 7:00 P.M., at the Cumberland City Hall, 1356 2nd Ave. to consider the following agenda:

                                                                                                                                                           

1. Public comment period.

 

2. Consider approval of applications for Operators / Picnic / Transient Merchant / Temporary Class “B” Retailers, Flea Market and / or Secondhand Article Dealer licenses.

 

3. Consider a status update of a comprehensive plan to remediate and  correct outstanding safety issues on property located at 1156 Washington Avenue or in the alternative, consider approval of a proposal to initiate judicial action to issue a raze order for 1156 Washington Avenue.

 

4. Consider a recommendation by the Cumberland City Board of Review (BOR) Committee for appointments to the 2008 BOR.

 

5. Consider approval of a proposal for the City of Cumberland to participate in the 2008 phosphorus trading program as sponsored by Barron County under the municipal waste water treatment process.

 

6. Consider approval of the following recommendations by the Cumberland City Parks and Recreation Committee:

a. Authorize the GAP to install a park shelter at Tourist Park without cost to the City of Cumberland.

b. Employ and establish compensation for a Park Attendant in 2008.

c. Approval of the following summer wage rates for 2008:

Head Lifeguard @ $9.54

Regular Lifeguard @ $8.75

Street Laborer@ $8.00

Boat Monitors @ $8.00 contingent upon approval of grant funding.

 

7. Consider approving the appointment of Foster Bridger and resignation of Rob Taylor to and from the City of Cumberland Historic Preservation Committee respectively.

 

8. Consider approval of a proposal to donate all revenues received by the treasury of the City of Cumberland to raze the old Isle Theater to the Library Building Fund save $4,000 donated to the Eagle Point park electrical project by the Chamber of Commerce.

 

9. Consider approving an appointment to the Cumberland Downtown Facade Reinvestment Committee due to the resignation of a current member on the said committee.

 

10. Consider letters and petitions presented and referred, new, unfinished business and future proposed agenda items.
