NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO ADOPT THE UPDATE TO THE
CITY OF CUMBERLAND COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
As per Chapter 66.1001(4)(d) of the Wisconsin Statutes, a Public Hearing will be conducted by the Cumberland Plan Commission on January 31, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. at Cumberland City Hall, 950 1st Avenue in Cumberland, WI. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to receive comments regarding the possible approval of a draft update to the City of Cumberland Comprehensive Plan 2017-2037 prepared by the City Plan Commission. The updated plan will guide the future growth and development in the City of Cumberland over the next 20 years. The update included public discussion meetings and a housing survey, and contains the nine required elements required by Wisconsin State Statute 66.1001 including:
- Issues & Opportunities Element
- Housing Element
- Transportation Element
- Utilities & Community Facilities Element
- Agricultural, Natural, & Cultural Resources Element
- Economic Development Element
- Intergovernmental Cooperation Element
- Land Use Element
- Implementation Element

For those unable to attend the public hearing, written comments should be sent to Cumberland City Council c/o Julie Kessler, City Clerk-Treasurer, City of Cumberland City Hall, 950 1st Avenue, Cumberland, WI 54829 and must be received before January 26, 2018. The City Council will consider and respond to any written comments regarding the draft plan update at a duly called Council meeting prior to action on the plan.
